The Denver Nuggets acquired center Roy Hibbert from the Milwaukee Bucks just before the trade deadline, league sources told The Vertical.
Hibbert, 30, had not played for the Bucks since the Charlotte Hornets traded him and Spencer Hawes to Milwaukee for Miles Plumlee on Feb. 2. Denver sent a heavily protected second-round pick to the Bucks for Hibbert, sources said.
The Nuggets hope Hibbert can provide frontcourt depth as they attempt to make a run for a playoff berth in the Western Conference. Hibbert is on an expiring $5 million contract. He averaged 5.2 points and 3.6 rebounds for Charlotte this season.
